BLOG SILENCE ... NOT AN INDICATION OF ORGANIZATIONS' INACTIVITY
The Winter months did not not deter the ladies of the NEW JERSEY CAMEO CLUB from making their "appointed rounds." They performed several shows in adult communities and clubs, assisted living facilities and nursing homes, and spread joy with their own very special God- given talents.
MS NEW JERSEY SENIOR AMERICA STATE PAGEANT Director Johanne Santori, has been busy reviewing the applications that have come in, and meeting and interviewing this year's crop of contestants. She is happy to report that the "Class of 2012" has 15 contestants, and all the ladies are so talented and beautiful.
Desiree Nigrelli, MS NEW JERSEY SENIOR AMERICA 2011, also has maintained a busy schedule of performances, parades and other personal appearances.
The GREAT DAMES CHORUS, has rehearsed during February and March, and are sounding great. Director Josephine Araniti is thrilled with their effort, and can't wait for their debut performance at the MS NEW JERSEY SENIOR AMERICA PAGEANT 2012.
Good news is always a pleasure to write about, but alas, the winter has not passed without some unhappy events. There are 2 proverbs that can sum it up: (1) February takes your bones; and (2) beware the "ides of March." Death claimed one Cameo lady, while others lost either their spouses or siblings. Several of our ladies are fighting courageous battles to regain their health and the health of their spouses.
Saying goodbye is hard to do. Sandra Greco, MS NEW JERSEY SENIOR AMERICA 2003, and MS SENIOR AMERICA 2003, has been a dear friend to many, and loyal NEW JERSEY CAMEO CLUB member. She and her husband Dan are moving to Florida at the end of March. We will miss her very much, and all of us wish them much happiness in their new home.
Lastly, another proverb comes to mind, "Spring springs eternal." Hopefully, we can hang onto this thought and look forward to the months ahead, at which time we will all be renewed and all of our dreams may come true!
