The story begins at the end, with the crowning of a new QUEEN.  The MS NEW JERSEY SENIOR AMERICA PAGEANT 2022, was a fabulous event, and was held on Thursday, June 2nd at Harrah's Resort Hotel & Casino.  Ten contestants participated, each one hoping to capture the crown, but in the end, it was Bettyjean Pace who emerged as this year's winner.

The women in the Pageant came from many walks of life:  teachers, preachers, administrators, nurses, clerks, and law enforcement.  Also, they came from different geographic regions which include: 3 from Atlantic County, and the cities of: Bayonne, Seaside Park, Marlton, Manahawkin, Morristown, and Toms River.

The QUEEN and the 4 runners up will be featured performers in the NEW JERSEY CAMEO CLUB SHOWCASES during the coming year.  The CLUB entertains throughout the State of New Jersey at veterans' hospitals, 55+ communities, nursing homes and assisted living facilities.  In the photo above from left to right are:  Suzanne Clare-LaRosa, Bayonne/3rd RU; Madeline McCleese, Marlton/2nd RU; QUEEN Bettyjean Pace; Dale Browndorf, Margate/1st RU; and Debra Paradiso, Morristown/4th RU.

The cover of the program booklet was the theme of this year's MS NEW JERSEY SENIOR AMERICA PAGEANT, which was concieved by Terry Meade/MSNJSA STATE PAGEANT DIRECTOR.  She produced a first class PAGEANT and an entertaining Variety Show as well.  The invited guest performers were vocalists: Laura Morgan/MSSA'21; Max Valentino; Dr. Sandy Greco/MSSA'03; Steve Berger, and THE GRANDE DAMES CHORUS.

QUEEN Dorothy gave a slide show which highlighted her travels and appearances during her reign last year.  And after her farewell speech, she delighted the audience once more with her comedy routine.  Following that, was her farewell walk and wave across the stage.

Kudos to our new QUEEN for 2022.  As the above photo shows, Bettyjean is a beautiful, exuberant and dynamic lady, who had the will and positive energy that propelled her to take the crown at the MS NEW JERSEY SENIOR AMERICA PAGEANT 2022.  All eyes are on her as she begins her year long journey throughout the Garden State, promoting the positive aspects on aging, and her Philosophy of Life which is: "Kindness is a choice, and so is happiness.  Be a voice for kindness and spread it around."

What a wonderful experience it must have been for BettyJean and I'm sure this pageant shows that we are more than just older and wiser. Beautiful women with a passion, a heart and the want to keep the elegance. Best wishes to all ladies who have had fun living the dream.

A FOND FAREWELL TO BETTY JEAN PACE/MS NEW JERSEY SENIOR AMERICA 2022

Betty Jean Pace, MS NEW JERSEY SENIOR AMERICA 2022   It seems like only yesterday, when Betty Jean Pace graced the stage at Harrah's, captured the hearts of a distinguished panel of judges, and an adoring audience, and who won the title of MS NEW JERSEY SENIOR AMERICA 2022.  During the year of her reign, QUEEN Betty Jean touched the lives of many senior Americans in her travels throughout the Garden State.  As the featured entertainer, with the NEW JERSEY CAMEO CLUB, her performances brought much joy and happiness to her constituents, leaving them happier than before.  The following is a glimpse of QUEEN Betty's fabulous year:   It was such a proud and happy time for QUEEN Betty Jean, when she posed for the first time with her new found "Sisters", in the NEW JERSEY CAMEO CLUB.
