MS NEW JERSEY SENIOR AMERICA PAGEANT - 2024
The Concert Venue Theater at Harrahs Resort Hotel and Casino teemed with excitement and anticipation, on Thursday, May 30th, as the audience awaited the outcome of the MS NEW JERSEY SENIOR AMERICA PAGEANT 2024. The eight participants brought along their own entourage; people who came equipped with banners, signs and noise makers to cheer their lady on to victory. Their enthusiasm and energy really made the afternoon a fun event.
Each contestant competed fiercely in the four judging categories, which included: Evening Gown, Philosophy of Life, Talent and a Private Judges' Interview.
This year's QUEEN and her Court from left to right are: Jacqueline Alfonso/3rd Runner Up; QUEEN Lenore Cibelli-Lambert; E. Denise Peoples/1st Runner Up; and Bernadette Jones/2nd Runner Up.Each lady wore stunning evening gowns of different styles, and modeled them elegantly, before a panel of 5 discerning judges. They delivered their Philosophies of Life with eloquence, grace and wisdom, showcasing their life's achievements. In the Talent Category, Jacqueline's fitness routine was quite impressive; QUEEN Lenore and Denise were powerful vocalists; and Bernadette did a snappy, and upbeat tap dance.
The year ahead will be a busy one for QUEEN Lenore as she embarks on her journey throughout the Garden State promoting the positive aspects on aging at age related venues. Her itinerary includes radio and tv appearances, parades, speaking engagements, and NEW JERSEY CAMEO CLUB SHOWCASES. In October, QUEEN Lenore will compete for the coveted title of MS SENIOR AMERICA 2024, at the National Pageant to be held at the Tropicana.
Kudos to Terry Meade, New Jersey State Director of Pageants, for producing another glamorous Pageant. Her theme for this year was "Around the World," to which both contestants and guest artists matched her vision in their performances. Thanks also to Administrater Johanne Santori/MSNJSA'06 and the Board of Directors, who helped onstage and offstage to keep the show running smoothly.
