NEW JERSEY CAMEO CLUB MEMBERS EXPERIENCE EMOTIONAL HIGHS AND LOWS

 

New Jersey Cameo Club members mourned the loss of Roe Piccoli, and attended her funeral Mass at St. Maximilian Church in Toms River. 

As the title infers, Tuesday, July 16th was an unforgettable day of emotional experiences for the NEW JERSEY CAMEO CLUB ladies, as they came out in full force to pay their final respects to their dear sister Roe, who  finally succumbed after a long battle with cancer.  

A resident of Toms River, Roe entered the MS NEW JERSEY SENIOR AMERICA PAGEANT in 2023, and won 2nd Runner Up.  She will always be remembered for her elegance and grace, and lovely singing voice.

 

            After the funeral, the ladies drove to Manahawkin to attend the 4th quarterly meeting. 

Prior to the meeting, the ladies enjoyed a sumptuous luncheon that included vegetarian and non-vegetarian foods.  Birthdays are always celebrated at meetings with a birthday cake, followed by a rousing chorus  of "Happy Birthday."

The meeting was as usual, informative, lively and vigorous.  Denise Mechan, Director of Communications, read the state of affairs of the organization, and committee chairwomen thanked their members for their cooperation and help during the year.  Terry Meade, MS NEW JERSEY SENIOR AMERICA STATE PAGEANT DIRECTOR, revealed most of her vision and theme for next year's Pageant.

Since her coronation, QUEEN Lenore has been busy, and her report was especially interesting.  She has received certificates and plaques of accommodations and congratulatory letters from local, county and State legislators.

Here's hoping that, in the year ahead, the fabulous ladies of the NEW JERSEY CAMEO CLUB will maintain their good health and unique talents, so that they can continue to spread their special brand of cheer, love and laughter to all they meet.

Yes … it was a day of the emotions as we came together in full cameo sister strength for our sweet Roe and support for her husband Carl. In the days after I have been in touch with Carl and he said he was overwhelmed by our attendance for our dear friend. We continued to celebrate Roes life at our meeting.

I have many opportunities coming up to bring information to many women throughout the state about Ms. New Jersey Senior America and how they can become involved for 2025 while gaining a sisterhood

The year is quickly coming to a close, and the fabulous ladies of the NEW JERSEY CAMEO CLUB did their best to create happy memories for all they touched.  They continued to give Showcases around the State, in spite of the dreaded COVID virus which still pervades our world.   The following are some event highlights between October through December A special guest attended the October Showcase at the Laurita Winery, King Micheal as he is affectionately named, who was included in this photo op. The MS SENIOR AMERICA PAGEANT 2023 was special this year, because QUEEN Ferlie Almonte came in 4th runner up! Everyone cheered her success at the Ball.   There was another activity in October, apart from performing that some members participated in. 2023-THE QUEEN'S REIGN

                                                                                    Photo, Courtesy Ferlie Almonte Since winning the title of MS NEW JERSEY SENIOR AMERICA 2023, Ferlie Almonte has been busy maintaining and keeping her varied commitments throughout the State.  Her first tri-mester has indeed been impressive, which included parades, speaking engagements, and appearances in NEW JERSEY CAMEO CLUB SHOWCASES. QUEEN Ferlie has received numerous congratulatory letters from local and State legislators.  Last July, she was invited to appear at the Ocean County Board of Commisioners open session meeting, where she was presented with a Letter of Achievement, written on parchment paper and encased in a glass frame.  Several NEW JERSEY CAMEO CLUB sisters attended the meeting to honor Ferlie as well. MS NEW JERSEY SENIOR AMERICA PAGEANT - 2024

  The Concert Venue Theater at Harrahs Resort Hotel and Casino teemed with excitement and anticipation, on Thursday, May 30th, as the audience awaited the outcome of the MS NEW JERSEY SENIOR AMERICA PAGEANT 2024. The eight participants brought along their own entourage; people who came equipped with banners, signs and noise makers to cheer their lady on to victory. Their enthusiasm and energy really made the afternoon a fun event.   In the end, it was Lenore Cibelli-Lambert who emerged as thisyear's QUEEN.
