NEW JERSEY CAMEO CLUB'S FRIENDLY ENCOUNTER WITH THE LAW

Cameras were clicking and flashing from several parts of the room .... It's no wonder .... these elegant ladies not only looked beautiful, but each one was at her peak performance level yesterday. Most people view run-ins with the law with trepidation, but, for a group of ladies from the NEW JERSEY CAMEO CLUB, yesterday's encounter turned out to be quite a pleasant affair. They were invited by the POLICE DEPARTMENT, CITY OF NEW YORK, JERSEY SHORE 10-13 ASSOCIATION, to perform at their 26TH ANNUAL CHRISTMAS PARTY. The event was held at DOOLAN'S SHORE CLUB in Spring Lake Heights.

Upon arrival, the ladies were treated to drinks, by the Association's President, Al Beneducci, and then to a sumptuous sit-down dinner. Afterwords, they gave a show for 250 patrolmen, detectives and their spouses, and guests. All the ladies gave stellar performances, and the audience showed their appreciation and gratitude with enthusiastic applause for each lady's performance.

The spirit of the holiday season was high yesterday, and all of the fabulous ladies of the NEW JERSEY CAMEO CLUB hope that it will continue during the coming year. So, here's wishing all of you who read this blog a MERRY CHRISTMAS, HAPPY HANUKKAH, and a HAPPY NEW YEAR! And, last but not least, as the comedian Jerry Seinfeld once coined the phrase, "HAPPY FESTIVUS FOR THE REST OF US!"

  The MS NEW JERSEY SENIOR AMERICA PAGEANT 2024 is soon approaching, and excitement is building in anticipation of the crowning of a new QUEEN.  The time honored annual event will be held at Harrahs Resort Hotel and Casino on Thursday, May 30th at 1:00 PM in the Concert Venue Theater.  Saying "Farewell to the QUEEN" is really an oxymoron - a figure of speech in which two contradictictory ideas are intentionally paired together in order to make a point, particularly to reveal a deeper or hidden truth. During her reign, Ferlie Almonte, MS NEW JERSEY SENIOR AMERICA 2023, has touched many lives performing in NEW JERSEY CAMEO CLUB SHOWCASES, with her energetic quick quips and quotes on resiliency, followed by her signature song, "Smile".  As a cancer surviver, she gave hope to all those who heard her.  Her passion for music really lifted up peoples' spirits and gave them hope to carry on and to face life's adversities. MS NEW JERSEY SENIOR AMERICA PAGEANT - 2024

  The Concert Venue Theater at Harrahs Resort Hotel and Casino teemed with excitement and anticipation, on Thursday, May 30th, as the audience awaited the outcome of the MS NEW JERSEY SENIOR AMERICA PAGEANT 2024. The eight participants brought along their own entourage; people who came equipped with banners, signs and noise makers to cheer their lady on to victory. Their enthusiasm and energy really made the afternoon a fun event.   In the end, it was Lenore Cibelli-Lambert who emerged as thisyear's QUEEN. NEW JERSEY CAMEO CLUB MEMBERS EXPERIENCE EMOTIONAL HIGHS AND LOWS

  New Jersey Cameo Club members mourned the loss of Roe Piccoli, and attended her funeral Mass at St. Maximilian Church in Toms River.  As the title infers, Tuesday, July 16th was an unforgettable day of emotional experiences for the NEW JERSEY CAMEO CLUB ladies, as they came out in full force to pay their final respects to their dear sister Roe, who  finally succumbed after a long battle with cancer.   A resident of Toms River, Roe entered the MS NEW JERSEY SENIOR AMERICA PAGEANT in 2023, and won 2nd Runner Up.  She will always be remembered for her elegance and grace, and lovely singing voice.               After the funeral, the ladies drove to Manahawkin to attend the 4th quarterly meeting.  Prior to the meeting, the ladies enjoyed a sumptuous luncheon that included vegetarian and non-vegetarian foods.  Birthdays are always celebrated at meetings with a birthday cake, followed by a ro...
