The Columbus Day Parade in Seaside Heights was enhanced by the appearance of Sherri McGhie, MS NEW JERSEY SENIOR AMERICA 2015.  The day was picture perfect for the annual event which was held on Sunday, October 11th.  A capacity crowd shouted cheers of delight as QUEEN Sherri passed by.  She looked radiant, dressed in a bright red gown, and of course, crown and banner.  As she sat atop the back of a flashy convertible, she smiled and waved to all her adoring constituents.  Gratitude for use of the convertible is extended to Carole Lelli, President of the NEW JERSEY CAMEO CLUB.

The MSNJSA convertible was number 104 in the parade.  Preceding her were the cars of MISS NEW JERSEY 2015, and MRS. NEW JERSEY 2015.  There was a photo op for the 3 generations of QUEENS who posed together.  QUEEN Sherri may be the shortest in the photo, but she was equal in beauty as she stood alongside her younger counterparts.

QUEEN Sherri was joined by the other ladies in her entourage who also rode in the convertible; her Mom Norma/MSNJSA1995, and Johanne Santori/MSNJSA2006, Administrator & State Pageant Director.  Lively conversation between the QUEENS followed as they told of their experiences and adventures.  The younger counterparts wished SHERRI good luck as she prepares for the upcoming MS SENIOR AMERICA PAGEANT 2015.

Pageant Week is Sunday, October 18th through Thursday, October 22nd, at Resorts Hotel & Casino, in Atlantic City.  State Queens arrive on Sunday, and in the week ahead, they will have rehearsals and activites.  The schedule of events can be found on the national website:

There are 3 Pageants: the 2 Preliminary Pageants are Tuesday and Wednesday, and the Final Pageant is on Thursday.  At the Final Pageant, the 10 finalists are chosen, and  they compete all over again for the title of  MS SENIOR AMERICA 2015.  The 3 Pageants will be held in the Superstar Theater at 1:00 PM sharp.  Tickets range from $25.00 to $35.00 and can be purhased at Resorts box office, which is located in the casino.

Please come and support QUEEN SHERRI!
